It more or less takes full possession of the whole community through competitions (Tumba music and Calypso festivals), beauty pageants, private and public parties and street parades during the first weeks of the year climaxing on the weekend.

KLM Curacao Marathon

Since 2014 the KLM Curacao Marathon is held every year. The Marathon and half Marathon course will take you along the waterfront of Curaçao, across the "swinging old lady", the famous Queen Emma pontoon bridge and even over one of the highest bridges in the world, the Juliana Bridge, at 185 feet above sea level! Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival

The biggest event in the Caribbean region, Curacao North Sea Jazz will celebrate its seventh edition. Just like in previous years, Curacao North Sea Jazz takes place at the World Trade Center, this time on Thursday, September 1, Friday, September 2 and Saturday, September 3.
